The party card game where you take turns ranting about random topics — and win points when the room approves.

Basic rules

Setup: each player starts with three BOMBAST topic cards.
Starting player: decide who goes first — maybe the grumpiest player.
Rant timer: agree how long rants should be. Suggested start: one minute.
Winning points: agree on a target to win, usually ten minus the number of players (minimum three).
Playing cards: the starting player picks a card from their hand and plays it on the person to their left. Always keep three cards in hand — don't forget to draw.
Ranting: the person who got the card starts ranting with “And don't get me started on…” followed by the topic. They need to match or beat the rant timer.
Judging: everyone who didn't rant decides whether they liked it — thumbs up, thumbs down, whatever.
Scoring: if the majority approves, the ranter scores a point. Hit the target to win.
Continuing play: score or not, the player who just ranted plays a card on the next person. Reset the timer and go.

Judging ties: with an even number of votes, the player who threw the card down doesn't vote. Votes can't end in a tie.

Life's Not Fair: rant order doesn't have to go left. After a successful rant, throw a card at whichever friend you think will love (or hate) it.
PFF (Penalty For Failure): agree on a penalty for failed rants. Whoever doesn't score takes it.
Changing the rant phrase: after everyone's ranted once, a successful ranter can change the starting phrase. If the room hates it, revert.
Filibuster: if everyone agrees a topic was exceptionally well-ranted, declare a Filibuster: two points, and maybe a penalty for someone else.
